The
Jefferson Park district is
known for being the home to the new Mile High Stadium (Invesco Field) and for its
stunning views of the Downtown skyline.
However, Jefferson Park was one of the few Center City districts that
didn't experience any new infill projects during the boom of the 1990s.
Not
anymore. The Jefferson Park district is now seeing plenty of
new residential development. With many of the other
Center City districts viewed as not affordable to many people,
Jefferson Park is finally being discovered as an urban district that is both remarkably close to Downtown and still
relatively affordable. Still a district in transition, the key to successful revitalization of Jefferson Park will be the
ability to retain its ethnic diversity and affordability while adding
density and infusing the district with new urban vigor. |
