Uptown Apartments Construction Update

Construction on the Uptown Apartments project at E. 19th Avenue, Washington, and Park Avenue in the Uptown district is coming along. Thanks again to Vicki from Uptown, here's a good overview photo of the construction site:

I love this blog. I thought it was worth mentioning that the Safeway in the background is getting a much needed facelift/update. I am so happy to see my neighborhood cleaning up a bit!

Plus - I love the fact that the Safeway in the background has decided to upgrade thier building. It's about time! Now, if they can just hire a few more check-out cashiers or get self-service registers. This neighborhood is really on the upswing.

i noticed yesterday the Safeway is about to open four self check registers. finally!

Good God, are the previous bloggers seriously happy about Safeway putting in self-checkers? They're the reason I stopped shopping at King Soopers. What's good about a reduction in service without a corresponding reduction in price?
