Museum of Contemporary Art/Denver: Construction Update

Construction of the new home for the Museum of Contemporary Art/Denver is coming along nicely. Over the past two weeks, the steel frame of the new building has taken shape. Here's a photo from today:

The finished product will look something like this:

Comments:
I can't wait! I sat in on the Architect selection meetings, and an interview with David Adjaye. It's a really interesting concept. I hope they go through with doing video installations on the translucent outer wall like they mentioned.

Those video installations would be awsome. I have not heard of them doing that till now. Its funny how the rendering shows a barren streetscape around the museum, but with the construction photos there are nearly completed buildings.

This project has the potential to be a very cool, original and visually interesting piece of art in itself...or it may look like an big pug fugly art experiment gone hideously wrong. I'm exited to see the end result, nonetheless.
