Museum of Contemporary Art/Denver Construction Update
Construction of the new home for the Museum of Contemporary Art/Denver is underway. Located at the corner of 15th and Delgany on the edge of Lower Downtown and the Central Platte Valley, the 30,000 square foot museum will be finished later in 2007. The project was designed by noted London architect David Adjaye. Here's the project rendering and a construction photo from last weekend:

I am anxious to see this one for real. It's hard to get excited from the rendering, but I suspect the transluscent effect of the facade is hard to capture in a drawing.
I'm with anonymous. I attended the architect selection meetings, and got to sit in on an interview with Adjaye.
Out of curiosity, where will people be able to park around here? It seems like an odd site choice for a museum.
How about the 1200-car garage across the street?
The museum wasn't stupid after all, they just knew that the parking would be available and could thus avoid that cost.
