What a sad
block. Almost all parking lot, and such a great location nestled in
between the Civic Center, the convention center, and the 16th Street Mall.
And yet, it seems to be on no one's radar screen in terms of development.
The tiny
but beautiful Curry-Chucovich house (built in 1888) sits dwarfed by acres of
asphalt as the only structure facing Court Place. This historic
structure could be moved to a suitable location, freeing up an entire city
block for redevelopment, since everything else on this block seems easily
expendable. |
