This block
contains a number of buildings of varying quality and design, but mostly the
block is dominated by ugly surface parking lots. Buildings of note
include the handsome 414 14th Street building at the corner of 14th &
Tremont, built in 1923 as the headquarters for Denver Public Schools, it now
houses administrative offices for the Denver Art Museum. On Glenarm,
all that remains are two 1920s-era buildings that reflect the original
development on this block of narrow 25-foot wide lots. One of these
buildings is home to the Denver Press Club. Finally, at 13th & Tremont
a 1970s modernist structure was bulldozed by developer Buzz Geller to make
way for a future unnamed project. |
