Hilton Garden Inn

Name: Hilton Garden Inn Hotel

Number of Rooms: 225

Description: A 12-story Hilton Garden Inn hotel with 130 structured parking spaces, lobby, restaurant, and meeting facilities occupying the first 4 floors, with the rooms occupying the remaining 8 floors.

Cost: $35 million

Developer: Stonebridge Companies

Architect: Unavailable

Current status: Project construction completed in July, 2007.

This is one of those blocks between 14th Street and the 16th Street Mall that suffers from an abundance of surface parking lots.  Fortunately, a bit more asphalt is about to disappear.  This proposed hotel is across the street from the Hyatt convention HQ hotel and diagonally across the street from the expanded Colorado Convention Center.  The Hilton Garden Inn will offer convenient proximity to the CCC but a more affordable option than the Hyatt.  The remaining part of this block should be a more attractive property to develop with the hundreds of millions of dollars-worth of construction going on within a block radius.
