This
block is a good example of the best and the worst of Downtown Denver. On the
southern half of the block is a portion of the Wells Fargo Center: its
huge atrium shaped like the top of the "Cash Register"
building and adjoining office and retail spaces are a solid contributor to
Downtown Denver's built environment. Then there's the north half of
the block... another unlandscaped, asphalt wasteland that negates the strong
urban character found in the adjacent high-rises and the Brown Palace hotel
across Broadway.
