This
block contains several buildings with good potential given their historic or
architectural qualities. Along Arapahoe is a pair of historic
commercial storefront buildings from the turn of the century that, while
presently vacant and in poor condition, could find new life through a
careful renovation/conversion. At the corner of 22nd and Curtis is a
two-story commercial building that's a nice example of late Art Moderne or
early International style design. Together these buildings could serve
as solid anchors for the block, if the rest of the buildings and the surface
parking lots were to be redeveloped as mixed-use residential projects. |
