This
block is essentially fully developed, as the surface parking lot serves as
guest parking for the loft projects next door.
The
buildings found on this block are some of Lower Downtown's finest historic
properties, with all having been fully restored and converted to residential
lofts.
The green space
north of the Wynkoop train trestle bridge is technically not part of Block
240. In fact, its not part of any block at all. The original plat
maps show this little area between Speer, Cherry Creek, and the two trestle
bridges as part of the Official Channel of Cherry Creek.
Now, it
is the new home of downtown Denver's first Children's Playground. |
