As noted in
this section for Block 046, there
is a long-term proposal by Sage Hospitality to construct a mixed-use project
on this site after the W Hotel and Residences is constructed. |
The
development of the surface parking lot on this
block should be a high priority for the city and other downtown interests
given its location along the 16th Street Mall. With RTD's Market
Street Station and 16 Market Square across the street, it is hard to image a
corner with greater development potential and high visibility.
The
historic buildings along Market Street, (much like Larimer Square) represent
a wonderful collection of some of Denver's earliest commercial storefronts. |
