By about
2013, this block will offer a redevelopment opportunity, as the multi-modal
transportation center at Union Station will be complete and RTD will
shift its Market Street operations to Union Station and relocate its
headquarters to a new office building there as well. Currently, RTD's
headquarters are housed in the historic building facing Blake Street on this
block. |
This
block is currently home to RTD's Market Street Station as well as its office
headquarters. The public plaza around the station entrance and mall
shuttle bus stops are well-used and attractive areas; particularly with the
completion of 16 Market Square on the neighboring block (see Block 042)
which really helped frame in and enclose the plaza area as a more intimate
public space. |
