This block is owned by the State of Colorado and holds two important & architecturally interesting buildings.  At the north end of the block is the Colorado State Judicial Buildings which houses the Colorado Supreme Court & the Colorado Court of Appeals.  The southern end of the block is home to the wedge-shaped Colorado History Museum.

In February, 2006 it was revealed that the State of Colorado was pursuing a Request for Proposal to replace the existing Judicial Center & Colorado History Museum.  The entire block would house a new Judicial building while the Museum would find a new home in the Golden Triangle or Civic Center Neighborhood.
