This block is owned by the State of Colorado and holds two important and architecturally interesting buildings.  At the north end of the block is the Colorado State Judicial Buildings which houses the Colorado Supreme Court and the Colorado Court of Appeals.  The building's inverted "U" shape adds to the eclectic grouping of buildings around Civic Center Park.  The southern end of the block is home to the wedge-shaped Colorado History Museum.  The museum has a long-range plan of building a mid-rise addition in front of the building where the plaza is currently located along E. 13th Avenue.
