Block is
100% developed!
|
This block
is fully occupied by the two-tower complex of Brooks Tower and the Curtis
Hotel/Inn at Auraria. Brooks Tower is a 42-story condominium building built in 1968
that faces 15th Street. The Curtis Hotel/Inn at Auraria is a
combination hip boutique hotel on the lower floors and Auraria student
housing on the upper floors. Sage Hospitality renovated the drab Executive
Tower Inn, which was built at about the same time as Brooks Towers, into the
Curtis Hotel/Inn at Auraria in 2006/2007. The renovation also included
replacing the tower's windowless ground-floor facade (see elevation photos
above from 2005) with a modern transparent facade featuring restaurants,
shops and public art. A dramatic improvement! |
