This block
is home to Denver's Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank. The parking
lot along 15th Street is a secured lot used exclusively for the bank, which
most likely removes it from possible redevelopment unless the bank decides to build a
new facility elsewhere in Downtown.
Community leaders recognize that the bank's location on this block is a
significant underutilization of the site and a poor pedestrian use for along
the Mall. Nevertheless, getting the bank to relocate will be a major
undertaking. |
